Is my data secure?
Absolutely. All data is encrypted during transmission and is stored on a secure cloud server that can only be accessed by authorised users.
Can I remove my data?
Yes, simply contact us and we will remove your data within 24hrs.
Who can access my data?
Only registered veterinary clinics can access the VetSync data.
How frequently are the records updated?
Every hour the VetSync system checks for changes to a patient’s record and, if there have been changes, uploads those changes to the VetSync database.
How much does it cost to access the records?
Only the requesting clinic pays to access the records. If the requesting clinic is sharing its data with VetSync then the cost is $5/request. If the requesting clinic is not sharing its data then the cost is $20/record.
Which Practice Management Software do you integrate with?
VetSync is in the process of integrating with all the major PMS systems including EzyVet, VisionVPM, OpenVPMS, Ascend etc. If your system is not on our list then please let us know and we will arrange for the integration.
What data do you collect?
We collect data in two tiers. Tier 1 data is shared by all participating clinics and includes: microchip number, breed, sex, weight, age, vaccination history, medication records, vital signs, blood test results, and behavioural notes. Tier 2 data includes clinical notes which the participating clinic may choose to share or not share. If a participating clinic has elected not to automatically share their Tier 2 data then the requesting clinic can send a request through the VetSync website requesting this data. The supplying clinic can then review the request and authorise the sharing on a case by case basis.
How do I join VetSync?
To join VetSync please click on the Waiting List button above and enter your details. We will then respond with instructions on how to activate sharing on your Practice Management System. We will also send you details on how to access the VetSync database using your web browser and view patient records. It’s as simple as that.
Is there any training required to use VetSync?
No training is required to use VetSync. To access a patient record all you need to do is log onto the VetSync web browser and enter the patients microchip number.
Do I need to install any hardware?
No, VetSync does not require you to install any hardware.
